F60 is the series designation of five overburden conveyor bridges used in brown coal (lignite) opencast mining in the Lusatian coalfields in Germany. They were built by the former Volkseigener Betrieb TAKRAF in Lauchhammer and are the largest movable technical industrial machines in the world.

An overburden conveyor bridge is a mining equipment used in strip mining for removing overburden (the top soil and rock that needs to be removed in order to reach the coal seam or ore below) and dumping it on the inner spoil bank of the open-cut mine. The F60 is the last of five conveyor bridges of similar sizes built between 1969 and 1991.

The power rating of the F60, which includes also two excavators of the series „ES 3750", totals up to 27,000 kW. The F60 needed about 1,2 kWh of electrical energy for the process of extracting one cubic metre of overburden till it was dropped. Therefore, conveyer bridges are very economical devices to extract overburden.

For the first time, a conveyor bridge of the type F60 was used in opencast mining in Welzow-Süd (South Welzow, Germany). In 2001, the company Laubag ran only 5 of the past 32 overburden conveyor bridges.. The first F60 conveyor belt was taken into service in 1972. In March 1991 the mining area Klettwith-Nord, the area the Visitor Mine F60 is in, starts using an F60. After only 13 months in service, the operation is shut down due to economical reasons. The open cast mines are closed and it is planned to destroy them in controlled explosions.
